Wednesday will be our day to visit the school library and borrow a book. Your child will have a chance to change their library book once a week each Wednesday. They will have a library book this week which they are excited to share with you.

In Reception class this week …
Maths
In maths we are consolidating what we have learnt about number bonds to 10.
We will be investigating partitioning 10 into 3 parts, doubling within 10 and odd and even numbers.
Floppy’s Phonics Well done ! We have now completed Floppy’s phonics Stage 3.
This week we are assessing and consolidating what we have learnt (Sheets 43 – 60). We will be practising any that we still find tricky.
We will also be reminding children about the vowels a e i o u and consonants. A way to remember the vowels –Angry Elephants in Orange Underpants.
We are also learning to write simple sentences using capital letters, finger spaces and full stops.

We will be observing the changes in our chicks as they grow before we say saying goodbye to them on Friday.
